From the folks that brought you The Alamo 13.1 and SPA GIRL TRI, we’re really excited about our 2nd year of this festive, special event that celebrates women. This ladies only Cocoa Women’s Half Marathon & Relay has quickly became a cult favorite from the sweet race swag gorgeous, quaint urban San Antonio course to the amazing post race chocolate goodies. Not up for the 1/2 or Relay, then indulge in our Wiseman House WILD WOMAN 5k and show what you’re passionate about or zip through our Girls Fun Run 1-Miler.
Your race entry gets you all set for a beautiful, flat course and a post race party that includes everything chocolate. To name just a few you’ll be able to enjoy: Hot Chocolate, warm, yummy Chocolate Chip Pancakes from the incredible Magnolia Pancake Haus, Fine Chocolates From Wiseman House Chocolates and others, Chocolate infused cupcakes, t-cakes and cookies from local artisans, Chicken Mole Tacos, and many other treats all surrounding our chocolate theme.
Plus you get some cool feminine race swag that will definitely include custom women’s cut tech shirts, beautiful custom race bibs and other girly surprises new for 2014. A beautiful custom finisher’s medal will of course be waiting for you when you cross the finish line with lot’s of cheering happy people ready to celebrate your accomplishment with you!
Whether it’s the 1/2 marathon, 2-person Relay, 5k or Girls 1-Mile Fun Run, you’re sure to have a fabulous experience and fond memories as we celebrate women, our strengths and accomplishments all together for a very worthy cause in giving the joy of a bike to a special needs tyke.

Relay peeps, you will have a shuttle to take the second leg people to their spot on the course, and shuttles will also bring the first leg runners back to the Start & Finish Area / Post Race Party. Exact Shuttle Spot will be emailed to you in a final details email.

Our delicious & amazingly scenic course includes quaint and charming spots like La Villita, San Fernando Cathedral, Main Plaza, HemisFair Park, historic King William, Mission Concepcion and the just NEWLY completed Mission Reach of the RiverWalk; all with a sweet chocolate theme.

5K race starts at the same time and covers the same route as 1/2 but splits off at Arsenal Bridge in King William back up the very scenic River Walk to a sweet chocolatey finish in La Villita. Click on the map to the left to check it out!
For those doing the Relay, the course will be divided in exact 6.55 mile legs.
There will be both water and gatorade at Aid Stations about EVERY 1.5 Mile for you wherever you see the red cross on the course map. As well, there will be some energy bars at the relay point of the course.
Course time limits:
You have plenty of time to complete the half marathon with a 4 hour time limit.
For the 5K, we’re giving you a 1 1/2 hour time limit.
PORT-O-POTTY SPOTS!! As well as at the start/finish, we will have port-a-potties on course. Check out the map for locations.
Packet Pick-Up and Expo for 2014 will be from 12-5 Saturday, January 18, 2014 inside of La Villita. Detailed maps for parking, location, etc. will be posted soon and emailed to everyone the week of January 6th.
